Why are you using Pinterest?

Serious question. Why are you using Pinterest? I’ve been looking at some local Pinterest accounts and I’ve yet to see what the goal of the Pinterest campaign is or how its possibly doing any good at all.

Do you know why I think local businesses (just a few) are using it? Because they think they should. There’s no logic to what most are doing and in most cases they are posting poor images. Sadly, very few have high quality followers, either. What they are doing is wasting their time.

Now I’m not saying this for any reason other than to let you know about a recent survey that said:

More than 70% of Pinterest’s 10 million users turn to the social pinboard for shopping inspiration and to keep up with trends. There’s also better user engagement with brands on the photo-sharing website: 66% of users regularly follow and repin retailers. Only 17% of Facebook users said they rely on the social network for purchasing inspiration.

Interesting! If you want to make the most of this, get in touch.
