Weekly digest – new feature

We’re always looking for ways to improve our site and our services to you and our viewers. Often, new features that make the site more user-friendly and interesting to readers have an even greater benefit to you and your business. We realize that even our most loyal readers can’t look at our website every day – although many do – so we publish a page every week which is a digest of the last week’s articles and photographs. This round-up of stories from the last week is proving to be very popular.

And what a benefit for your articles, too! It’s yet another opportunity for them to be seen. Not only that, but they are also on another independent site – yet another place for them to be read. And there’s more, but let’s look at a screenshot:

Now let’s see what the articles look like when you scroll down:

As you can see, it’s a very neat and tidy page with thumbnail images and links to recent articles. It also has the following advantages:

  • Do you see the small gray squares at the top of the first image on the right? These allow viewers to ‘like’ the article, email it, share on social media or embed it on their own website.
  • This is not an automated system. We decide which articles are going to be included and in what position
  • If you email this to your list, it doesn’t seem like an ad – because it’s a general round-up that the people on your email list will find interesting. But your article is there too, of course. It’s almost as if you’re treating your list to a public service, rather than advertising your business
  • This – to date – has always been included in our ‘popular articles’ features so continues the self-perpetuating aspect of your article because of that page and the ‘you might also like’ feature

Yet another great opportunity from TeamLasOlas!
