Whenever I’m talking to someone (or writing) about our Las Olas website, I mention our interactive maps. I’ve been asked to explain further so here goes!
Here is the basic map. Every article about a local business or event features its own map. You can see the blue push pin showing the location of the business referred to in the article
If more than one location is mentioned, that’s no problem as you’ll see below.
By the way, note the social sharing buttons allowing viewers to share your article. If someone is looking at your map, they can easily zoom in or zoom out. “Where is your business if I’m coming from Boca Raton?”
Or the viewer can switch to satellite view.
They can zoom in and see the street view too so they know how to recognize your store or restaurant.
Using street view, they can check out intersections.
What’s the nearest bus stop to your location?
Or is there a parking lot nearby?
If people are exploring, they’ll want your address and phone number.
All this – and the viewer still hasn’t left your article page! But now they get a chance to do so with the ‘more info’ link. What do they get? Reviews!
